How an unpaid order happens
Pebl creates an order as soon as you start a payment, before any card is tapped. If that payment doesn't finish, the order stays unpaid. Common reasons:
The volunteer edited the cart or went back, then started the payment again. The first order is left unpaid.
The supporter changed their mind, or paid another way.
The card was declined or the tap timed out.
A beep isn't proof of payment
The beep on the tap screen only means the card was read. It doesn't mean the payment went through. Always check the confirmation screen in the Pebl app shows the payment was successful before moving on.
Do unpaid orders affect my total?
No. Abandoned attempts show as unpaid, and no money was taken. They aren't included in your payouts or in your completed totals in Reports.
Check your orders
In the Dashboard at web.peblpay.com.au, go to Orders.
Filter by status and location.
Open an unpaid order to see its details. If the supporter still wants to pay, you can share the order's payment link.
Think a payment really went through? If a supporter has a charge on their statement for an order showing as unpaid, chat to us with the order details and we'll check it.
