Q: I didn’t receive my verification SMS — what should I do?
Double-check that your mobile number is entered correctly and has reception. If the message still doesn’t arrive, try resending it or restart your device and try again. You can read our more in-depth article on this here
Q: How long does it take to activate my account?
Most accounts are activated within 5-10 minutes. In some cases, additional verification is needed, which may take up to 24 hours.
Q: Can I sign up without an ABN?
Pebl is designed for registered Australian businesses only. If you’re a sole trader, your ABN is still required during setup.
📱 Device Compatibility
Q: Can I use Tap to Pay on my iPad?
No — iPads don’t have NFC hardware and can’t be used for Tap to Pay on iPhone. For contactless payments on a tablet, use an Android tablet with NFC.
Q: What’s the minimum iPhone/Android version I need?
iPhone XS or newer running iOS 16.4+
Android devices with NFC and Android 10+
Q: Can I use Pebl on desktop?
Yes — you can access your dashboard, send payment links, and manage your account on any modern web browser.

Q: Where do I find my transaction history?
Log in to your Pebl app. On the home page you'll see you most recent 3-2 transactions. You can click "See all" to view more, add filters, and export transactions in CSV or PDF format.
Q: How do I add a team member?
From the home screen, go to Settings > Company details > Add team member. Enter their name, mobile number and user permission level.
💳 Payment Troubleshooting
Q: Tap to Pay on iPhone doesn't work well with physical cards — why?
Some physical cards (especially older ones) can be a bit temperamental. Apple actually acknowledges this in their own Tap to Pay guide below, and they recommend holding the card in place for a little longer to ensure it connects properly. Android devices tend to be a bit more forgiving, but unfortunately the iPhone limitations are out of our control for now.
Q: Can I test a payment before going live?
Yes — once your account is verified, you can make a $1 payment to yourself or a team member to test the process. When registering your device for Tap to Pay, you'll also be taken through a demo Tap to Pay transaction. This does not charge you any money.
