Tap to Pay on iPhone: iPhone XS or later, running an iOS version released within the last year (we recommend simply updating to the latest iOS — see currently supported iOS versions).
Tap to Pay on Android: most Android phones with NFC, running Android 14 or later.
Browser access: latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
Using tablets for payments
iPads don't have NFC and can't be used for Tap to Pay on iPhone.
To accept contactless payments on a tablet, use an Android tablet with NFC.
Best experience
Use a device with a reliable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G/5G).
Enable push notifications for real-time payment alerts.
Ensure camera access is enabled if using QR codes for payments.
FAQs
Can I use Pebl on a tablet?
Yes, for dashboard access and QR/link payments. For contactless Tap to Pay, use an NFC-enabled Android tablet (iPads don't have NFC).
Do I need an EFTPOS terminal or card machine?
No — Pebl removes the need for physical terminals entirely.
