Pebl Collect is designed to make event payments simple for volunteers, staff and team members. This training pack walks you through the key steps you need to know before accepting payments at an event, including how to check device compatibility, log in, use Tap to Pay, and share digital receipts.

It’s designed to be reviewed before the event and kept handy on the day as a quick reference guide.
Before you start
Before using Pebl Collect, please make sure:
You have been added to the correct organisation, event or location by the event organiser.
You have downloaded the Pebl Collect app.
You are using a compatible device if you need to accept Tap to Pay payments.
Your phone has a stable internet connection.
Location Services are enabled when prompted.
If you are using Android, NFC is turned on.
QR code payments can be used on most phones and tablets. Tap to Pay requires a compatible iPhone or Android device.
🚨 Important Payment Reminder
When accepting Tap to Pay payments, do not move to the next customer until the payment is complete.
The payment is only complete when you see the green tick and Payment successful message in Pebl Collect.
If the screen is still processing, the payment has not finished yet.
🍎 Tap to Pay on iPhone tip
Digital wallets, such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, usually feel the smoothest when accepting Tap to Pay on iPhone.
Some physical contactless cards may take a little longer. Ask the customer to hold their card carefully near the top of the iPhone for a few seconds and keep it still until the payment starts processing.
If the card does not read after a few tries, ask the customer to try a phone wallet, another card, or use the QR code payment option.
