⚠️ Important change from 1 October 2026
From 1 October 2026, mandatory surcharging on Visa and Mastercard payments is generally no longer permitted in Australia, so Enable Surcharging is being retired. Giving a customer or donor the voluntary choice to cover the fee is not affected — that includes Donation Surcharging below, and Supporter Cover in Pebl Collect. Please read Changes to card surcharging (from 1 October 2026) before you turn surcharging on or leave it on.
Not-for-profits: Supporter Cover
Supporter Cover gives your supporters the option to cover Pebl's platform fee, so your organisation receives the full amount. It's always their choice.
Available to organisations set up as not-for-profits on Pebl.
About surcharging
Surcharging passes card processing fees on to the customer, so your takings stay whole. It's set per location.
Turn on surcharging
Go to Locations and open a location.
Open its Settings tab.
Under Payment Settings, switch on Enable Surcharging — this automatically passes transaction fees to customers, recovering the full sales amount.
To let donors voluntarily choose whether to cover the fee on donation products, switch on Donation Surcharging. Because it's the donor's choice, this option isn't affected by the 1 October change.
Click Save Changes.
