Overview:
Encountering problems with Tap to Pay on Android? This guide covers simple fixes to get you back on track.
đĄ Pro Tip
Tap to Pay on Android does not work if you're talking on the phone or connected to another bluetooth device (e.g. playing music through speakers).
End any calls first: Tap to Pay won't run while you're on a phone or app call, including WhatsApp, Messenger, Zoom and similar. If a call is active, the payment just shows "Payment failed". Hang up, then try the payment again.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Ensure NFC, Bluetooth & Location Services are enabled:
Go to your Android's Settings > Apps > your Pebl app.
Ensure NFC, Bluetooth & Location Services are enabled.
Check for Android updates:
Make sure you're running Android 14 or later.
Check in your Android's Settings > System > Software update.
Confirm device compatibility:
Tap to Pay only works on Androids with NFC capability.
Re-trigger Tap to Pay setup:
Log out of your Pebl app and back in â the one-time Tap to Pay setup prompts will appear again. (Setup is automatic in the app; there's no manual re-registration.)
Restart your device:
Turn your Android off and on, then retry.
