Starting, closing and drawing a raffle

Once your raffle has prizes and at least one ticket, you control when it opens for entries and when it's drawn. See Creating a raffle if you haven't set those up yet.

Start the raffle

On the raffle page, click Start. Use the arrow beside the button to start now or schedule a start time. Once started, the status becomes Open and supporters can buy tickets through the raffle's QR codes and links (and your event Shop QR).

Choose how it closes

Next to the status, click Edit. Either set a Scheduled Close (a date and time) or tick Draw on demand (open-ended) to close it yourself whenever you're ready. Click Save.

Close and draw

When you're ready (or at the scheduled time), click Close & draw. This closes ticket sales and draws the winners in one step, and cannot be undone.

  1. Review the round — the number of entries and buyers, and the Draw order (prizes are drawn from the top down).

  2. Leave One prize per buyer ticked if no single buyer should be able to win more than one prize.

  3. Click Close & draw to confirm.

Winners are calculated privately. No notifications, texts or messages are sent automatically when you draw — you choose when to notify winners afterwards.

Winners and notifying

Open the Winners tab to see each round. Every winner is listed with their ticket number, order and the prize they won.

  • Notify winner sends that winner an SMS and marks them as Notified. Notify each winner when you're ready — nothing is sent until you do.

  • Redraw draws a new winner for a single prize if you need to.

  • Download CSV exports the winners for your records, and Draw Proof shows a unique draw reference for transparency.
