Single Use Payment Links

Updated over a month ago

Overview:

Single Use Payment Links allow you to create a link that can only be used once for a set payment. Ideal for specific jobs, invoices, or one-time purchases.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip

Single use payment links are created for one specific transaction. Once the payment is completed, the link automatically expires and cannot be used again. Use a single use link when you want one customer to pay for a set order (e.g., a $20 service or a specific group of products).

Multi-use payment links are linked to products or donations that you create in Pebl’s Products section. These links stay active and can be used by multiple customers to complete their own payments. Use a multi-use link when you want to collect payments for the same item or cause over time β€” such as ongoing donations, event registrations, or product sales.

Single Use Payment Link Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Open the Pebl app to the Activity screen.

  2. Tap the blue '+' button to begin creating a new payment.

  3. Enter the payment amount or choose from your product list.

  4. Choose Other payment options.

  5. Tap Share payment link below the QR code.

6. Using your phone's sharing options, share the link via SMS, email or messaging app.

  7. Once paid, the link becomes inactive & the customer will receive a payment receipt via email.

FAQs and Troubleshooting Tips:

What happens if a customer clicks after payment?
The link will show as Expired.

Can I reuse a single use link?
No, you would need to create a new transaction with a new link.

My customer wants an itemised receipt for tax purposes?

To ensure your receipts are itemised, you need to either write a description or create the order with existing products in your product list. If neither are done, the receipt will only show the total price.
